Frequently Asked Questions

Is it okay to shoot lead through my gun? Will it make it dirty or clog my barrel?

Yes, it is okay. Any rough bore will cause residue to remain in the barrel as the bullet passes, be it copper or lead. Lubricated lead bullets of the correct hardness and diameter, in a good handgun barrel, have resulted in great accuracy and terminal performance in many powerful pistols such as the 357 Magnum, the 41 Magnum and the 44 Magnum. We plan to offer polymer-coated, lead bullets soon!

What guns can handle Blackbelt Ammunition?

Any modern firearm that can handle Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) standards for that particular caliber is suitable for Blackbelt Ammunition.

Where does Blackbelt Ammunition source their brass from?

We use newly manufactured Starline brass for all of our ammunition. We have used their products for years, personally, and have always been able to rely on their quality.

Who makes the bullets that you use?

We exclusively use bullets made by GT Bullets in our lead HP products.

Why shop at Blackbelt Ammunition?

That answer is simple: we want to share our experience with other shooters. We manufacture the same quality ammunition, the same performance, the same attention to detail, that has been used by my family and friends for decades. It is time for small-batch, high-performance ammunition.

The products available from Blackbelt Ammunition are age-restricted and intended for adults of legal age only. Federal law requires that you must be 21 years or older to purchase handgun ammunition and 18 years or older to purchase rifle ammunition.
