This cartridge was introduced over 115 years ago and is still a popular and viable caliber. Offerings for this caliber have grown from the original 95 grain full metal jacketed round nose bullet to various expanding projectiles that work well.
This is a 101 grain polymer coated hollow point that will exit most handguns between 935 feet/ second (in my 2.7 inch barrel) to about 975 ft/ sec.
Why 101 grains?
Because the 102 grain bullet didn't fit.
We wanted to give the shooter as much "thump" as could be wrung out of this round.
